Flexitions stainable floor transition are ideal for transitioning between laminate and hardwood flooring materials. They are available in five different profiles and three wood grains/textures: oak, maple and exotic wood grain. Flexitions stainable floor transition are the only product line of their kind in existence. Flexitions were developed for use within hardwood and laminate floor applications, and are ideal to use when dealing with a curve, arch or a radius installation. They come unfinished and stainable, allowing you the flexibility and creativity to match them to your hardwood floor stain. Use to coordinate and transition flooring products such as wood flooring, laminate flooring, tile, vinyl, stone and more. Constructed of molded polyurethane foam.
Flexitions Stainable Floor Transitions come in three sizes / dimensions in this Stair Nose profile:
3/8" x 3" x 7'
1/2" x 3" x 7'
3/4" x 3" x 7'
Flexitions Stainable Floor Transitions - Staining Instructions:
- If needed, open grain with 150 grit sand paper.
- With cloth, apply oil based stain in desired color to these stainable floor transitions. The faux wood grain will take stain like actual wood.
- Gently wipe off excess stain with cloth.
- Let stain dry for 15-20 minutes.
- Install flexible molding with liquid nails or construction adhesive.
- After flexible molding is installed, apply clear coat to flexible molding. Use a polyurethane based clear coat.
- No track of any kind is required for installation.
- Please note that Flexitions can be a temperature sensitive product. If in a cold climate, product may become hard. Simply place in direct sunlight or use hair dryer to warm the product to a malleable temperature.
